Mary Rose Bove Russell, 86, of Kennett Square, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at Linden Hall in Kennett Square.
She was the wife of the late Samuel G. Russell, who died in 2000 and with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Toughkenamon, she was a daughter of the late Marco and Columba Basciani Bove.
Mary was a member of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother in Avondale.
In her earlier years she worked as a bookkeeper for a clothing store in downtown Kennett Square.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Mosemann and her husband, Richard, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Jane Russell of Columbus, Ohio; her “adopted” daughter, Chris Moranda of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Dante Bove and his wife, Dorothy, of Landenberg; one sister, Ann Fieni and her husband, Dino, of Serverna Park, Md.; three grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by a son, William, in 1982; a sister, Gloria Kridler; and a brother, Albert Bove.
You are invited to visit with Mary’s family from 11:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8919 Gap-Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon.
Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
